Summary

WAExportPro helps you export your own WhatsApp Web chats, contacts, groups, and media into local files (PDF, CSV, TXT, HTML, ZIP). Export generation runs in your browser. We do not sell your data. We are not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

Data the extension collects or handles

• WhatsApp Web data for export: when you request an export, the extension reads the selected chat, contact, group, timestamps, messages, and media references needed to build the file.
• Local settings: export preferences, tutorial flags, free-tier counters, license/Premium status, and attribution (e.g. campaign or click ID) when available.
• Anonymous product analytics: event names and limited metadata (install, export started/completed, format, free/pro state, version, language, random install ID). Not chat content.
• Support messages: if you contact support, we receive your message and any reply email you provide.
• Checkout / attribution on hosted pages: install, checkout, and thank-you pages may handle campaign/variant, browser type, traffic source, payment provider, and Google Ads click identifiers.

Data we do not collect

We do not sell or intentionally upload WhatsApp message text, contact names, phone numbers, media files, or generated export files to our analytics servers. Export content stays on your device unless you choose to save or share it.

How data is handled

The content script runs only on https://web.whatsapp.com/*. Files are created in the browser and downloaded to your computer. Anonymous analytics help us improve the product and measure landing-page performance.

Storage

Preferences and license state are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. Hosted analytics may be stored on our downloads.services server using a random install ID and event metadata—not WhatsApp chat content. Payment details are processed by the payment provider (e.g. Lemon Squeezy or Gumroad), not by the extension.

Sharing

We do not sell user data. We use service providers only to operate the product: downloads.services hosting, payment processors for PRO purchases, and advertising/analytics tools (e.g. Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity) on hosted pages.

Your choices

You can clear extension data in Chrome settings, delete export files on your device, uninstall the extension, or contact us with privacy questions.
